The Norfolk Broads is regarded as one of the best places to fish in the UK. If fishing from a holiday boat is part of your plans, we can help. We have carefully selected a range of holiday boats that are best suited for those wishing to have a fishing holiday afloat in Norfolk.
Here are Norfolk Broads holiday boats we recommend as best for fishing from.Â
The common fish species include Carp, Bream, Perch, Pike, Roach, Rudd and Tench.
Course fishing is only permitted from the 16th June to the 14th March and there are heavy fines (up to £2500) for not having a licence.
You will need a rod licence for each adult who is fishing. Each person can use up to two rods on a single licence.
A 1 day course fishing licence is £6
An 8 day licence is £12
A 12 month licence is £30
The licence prices assume you are not fishing for Salmon or Trout.
Children and Fishing Licences
Children under 13 do not need a licence, children aged 13 to 16 need to have a free junior rod licence.
Where do I get fishing rod licences from?
All licences can be obtained from a post office or online at the environment agency website.
Please be aware that having a fishing licence does not mean you can fish anywhere on the Norfolk Broads, some locations are privately owned or managed by angling clubs that do offer day tickets for a small fee.
Do we need to bring our own fishing tackle?Â
Yes, you can either bring them with you or purchase them from one of the local fishing tackle shops nearby.
