New Postponement Policy

Updated 26/5  – Following the Govt guideline changes we will be closed until Government Guidelines enable us to open click here for more details

During this unprecedented situation, things are changing in ways we can’t expect

And whilst we all look forward to our holidays, we are aware our customers may need to make last-minute alterations to their plans.

The Norfolk Broads offer an opportunity to escape from the stresses of everyday life. We believe the Broads National Park offers a great opportunity to do just that.

Pack your car up with the supplies you need for your time away. Board your boat, or enter your holiday home and you’re in your own space. With everything on hand to help you enjoy the space and tranquillity of the Broads National Park

For extra peace of mind, we’ve added to our robust cleaning programme. We’ve introduced a new disinfectant that gives an extra measure of confidence. We’ve also asked our staff to follow the government’s guidelines, and self isolate if they develop a cough or temperature

We do hope that this offers you some reassurance

Our Latest COVID-19 Update

To give you extra peace of mind during this period of uncertainty, we will be contacting customers travelling before the 2nd July to postpone their holiday.

You can either change the start date of your holiday, or we can hold your deposit or payment over to use on a future holiday to be taken later this year or before the end of our 2021 season.

Even though the Government restrictions are unclear on hospitality at this time, we will give customers the opportunity to transfer their holiday to a new date subject to availability.

At this present time we are not dealing with holidays after the 3rd July until further government updates and guidelines are  announced. We will hope for further clarification as to when and how we can reopen being provided to us throughout the coming weeks.

Please be aware if the cost when you transfer is higher than your original booking, you may be asked to make a further payment, unless you are transferring to the same dates in 2021, with our price match.

We hope this means you’ll continue to book with Barnes Brinkcraft with confidence.

This includes Boating and Cottage holidays.

Our office staff may be extra busy during this period so please be patient

After this time, if you are unable to travel for the following reasons you can still postpone for a booking credit

Your Government’s Foreign Office advises against ‘all‘ or ‘all but essential travel.

  • There is a border closure or localised lockdown which prevents me from leaving or getting to the boatyard.
  • Your flight stops in an affected area that is deemed unsafe and is cancelled.
  • You, or a member of your party, contract a confirmed case of Coronavirus.
  • You are advised or instructed to self-quarantine, or put into quarantine by the authorities
We will, of course, continue to monitor developments and update our policies if and when necessary.

If none of the above circumstances applies, then you can proceed with your holiday as planned.  Our standard booking terms and conditions still apply to non related Covid-19 situations..

We hope you all stay safe and well, and look forward to seeing you either later this year or in 2021.
