Hear first hand what one of our customers thought of his trip aboard ‘Brinks Omega‘, a 7 day account of his holiday on the Norfolk Broads.
Brinks Omega is a 4* boat. It has a very spacious aft cockpit area, ideal for relaxing in the sunshine or a perfect place to sit and fish. Patio doors lead into the saloon area which is very light and airy, the comfortable ‘L’ shaped sofa converts into a double berth if required. Moving forward in the boat you have the galley area to starboard and the toilet/shower to port and a twin ‘V’ berth cabin in the bow.
Brinks Omega – Overall Review
Thank you Robin – an excellent and thorough Captains Log!
With the worst of the winter behind us (hopefully!) now’s the time to think about the summer holidays. If you’re think of coming with family and friends, the Brinks Concerto will have to be on your shortlist.
This is a really comfortable cruiser which sleeps four to six people in great comfort and style. It is a boat designed to be easy to handle so perfect for novices and experienced helmsmen alike, and is equipped with all the facilities you’d expect in your own home. For instance there is a colour TV, CD/Radio, warm air heating, fridge and cooker. There are two double beds both with en-suite showers and toilets, and the centrally located sitting area converts very quickly to a third double. All bed linen is included as are life jackets for everyone on board.
Inside steering on the Concerto
Dual steering positions mean you can sit on or out depending on the weather, there are bow thrusters to help you moor, and an electric anchor winch to save you pulling on ropes if you want to stop for a while in the middle of one of the Broads.
As with all of our Cruisers, don’t worry if you’re a novice to boating, one of our experts will give you full tuition with a short trip up the river to make sure you are comfortable with boat handling before you set off on you own.
Concerto class cruisers can be hired from £865 a week out of the peak season. In high season they cost £1539 for the week. Shorter breaks are also available.
See our site for a selection of holiday boats available from our Wroxham base, in the heart of the Broads.
If you’re looking for a Broads boating holiday for two people then one for the shortlist has to be Brink of Joy.
It can accommodate parties up to five and is a perfect boat for those with young children as it is all on one level with easy access via front and rear footwells.
Brink of Joy
There is a single and two double bunks in the cabin and saloon and the boat is fully equipped with heating, television, fridge and cooker.
There is a split sliding canopy so you can have it fully open or just open to one side.
But most importantly for the first time visitor who has never handled a boat before it is very easy to steer and navigate. And full tuition is given when you collect the boat from our yard at Wroxham right in the heart of Broadland.
Brink of Joy is a surprisingly spacious cruiser, all on one level, so no stairs to climb, and perfect for a relaxing holiday for just a couple or a larger party.
If you need any further information, please call our team at the boatyard – they have years of boating experience. The number is 01603 782625.

Here at Barnes Brinkcraft, we have one of the best fleets of Cruisers on the Norfolk Broads, but one little boat often overlooked is Brinks Jazz. Even though it has a rather old-fashioned design it is packed with modern features and is perfect for a relaxing holiday for two or four people.
Jazz has all the features you would expect from a modern Broads boat and has a sundeck and a forward ‘well’ from which you can sit and watch the world go by. With dual steering positions, you can drive the boat either from the sun deck or from the front cabin if the weather is less than kind. Perfect for two people, or a family of four if you have younger children, as there are two cabins both with either double or twin berths.
Brinks Jazz is a great choice for anyone who is thinking of trying boating for the first time, it is easy to steer, moor up, has excellent accommodation and is perfect for a great value holiday.
Don’t be fooled by her old-fashioned looks, Jazz is a real sophisticated lady.
You can rent this boat from £410 to £860 in high season, but the first person to mention this to us when booking receives a 15% discount. (quote blog 7/6)
