A pootle down the river in your Norfolk Broads day boat, pick up afternoon tea, or possibly a pint and a pootle back, what could be better?
Once onboard your Norfolk Broads day boat, head out of the yard and turn right towards Wroxham Bridge
#Top Tip: Wroxham bridge is quite low, so take it slowly and ensure you line up with the middle of the bridge. Wave at the people looking down at you!
Follow the river passed Belaugh, (pronounced BeLa) by the locals. You’ll find yourself meandering along the side of water meadows. Watch out for the kingfishers flitting from one branch to another.
Soon you’ll find yourself in Coltishall. Moor up on the village green and stop for a pint at the Rising Sun or Kings Head
If it’s a special occasion travel a little further and pick up afternoon tea. The Norfolk Mead Hotel offers both a takeaway service and fine dining on-site.
Top Tip: when mooring the boat (parking) take it very gently and if you think it’s going wrong, just start again. If its your first time aboard a day boat, please watch these informative videos on how to drive a boat safely
